Responsible consumption and production
At STEFFCA, we work systematically to use energy and
materials more ef昀椀ciently and reduce waste through
ef昀椀cient processes, responsible procurement and
increased recycling.
Key initiatives
1. Ef昀椀cient production processes
We continuously optimise production with a focus on
energy and resource consumption. During the colder
months, we recover 昀椀ltered excess heat from the
machinery to heat the production hall.
We also prioritise energy-ef昀椀cient machinery and reuse
packaging where possible.
2. Responsible procurement
80% of our suppliers have signed STEFFCA’s Supplier
Code of Conduct, which sets requirements for
environment, working conditions, ethics and legislation,
among other things.
85% of our purchases are made from European
suppliers. We assess suppliers and materials based on
quality, documentation and responsibility.
3. Less waste
Through ef昀椀cient cutting technologies and digital
nesting, we make better use of raw materials and
reduce residual material.
We sort waste and send selected materials for
recycling, so that resources can, as far as possible,
enter new cycles.

Climate action
We map our emissions and implement concrete
initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of our
operations, value chain and the solutions we deliver
to customers. In 2025, we phased out natural gas and
switched to district heating. We have also installed
solar panels, cover our electricity consumption with
100% wind energy and have moved into energy-ef昀椀cient
buildings.
Key initiatives
1. Reducing CO₂e emissions
We calculate our emissions in scope 1, 2 and 3 based
on the principles of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
From 2024 to 2025, scope 1 emissions decreased from
78 to 60 tonnes CO₂e, while scope 2 emissions were
reduced from 23 to 18 tonnes CO₂e.
The target is to reduce total emissions in scope 1 and
2 by 30% by 2030 compared with 2022. From 2022 to
2025, we reduced total emissions in scope 1 and 2 by
12.4%.
2. Energy savings for customers
In 2025, STEFFCA’s insulation solutions contributed to
estimated energy savings of up to 10,290,680 kWh for
customers, corresponding to approximately 10.3 GWh
and estimated avoided emissions of up to 2,058 tonnes
CO₂e. At the same time, the solutions can contribute to
a better working environment by shielding hot surfaces,
reducing heat exposure and dampening noise from
process equipment. The savings show how correctly
dimensioned and installed insulation can reduce heat
loss in technical installations and industrial processes.
3. Future actions
We will continue to optimise our energy and heat
consumption, monitor production from the solar panels
and improve data quality in scope 3.
