We source various types of rubber, steel, 昀椀breglass, and
graphite gaskets. This stage includes the extraction
and mining of raw materials, followed by transport
and processing before the materials are delivered to
STEFFCA. Our suppliers are primarily based in Europe,
where 82% of our sourcing takes place. The remaining
18% comes from suppliers outside Europe.
We recognise that this part of the value chain can have
negative impacts, including a high climate footprint due
to energy, water, and resource consumption, as well as
the use of chemicals. There may also be risks related
to breaches of business ethics and workers’ rights. To
mitigate these risks, our main suppliers have signed
our Supplier Code of Conduct, which commits them to
responsible operations and compliance with applicable
laws and ethical standards.
Own Operations
At STEFFCA, we manufacture gaskets and seals inhouse. Our machinery includes waterjet cutters, 昀氀atbed
cutters, vulcanising machines, and CNC mills. The
main environmental impacts of our operations relate to
energy consumption in production, company vehicles,
resource use, and waste management.
We also maintain a strong focus on employee health,
safety, and working conditions.
Downstream in the Value Chain
We primarily supply our products to customers in Denmark, but we also serve global markets. Our products
are used across a wide range of industries, and we
have limited control over how they are used or handled
at the end of their life cycle. The main impacts at this
stage relate to product usage, carbon footprint, and
waste handling.
