GHG INVENTORY
– METHODOLOGY AND DATA
The GHG inventory has been prepared using the
calculation method considered most appropriate for each
emission source and the available data foundation. Where
possible, activity-based data has been used, while spendbased estimates or third-party calculations have been
applied for selected areas.
Activity-based calculations are based on speci昀椀c
consumption or activity data, while spend-based
calculations use 昀椀nancial data and average emission
factors. Third-party calculations have been used where
external suppliers have calculated emissions based on
relevant transport or activity data.
The speci昀椀c data sources, emission factors, assumptions
and methodology choices are described in the following
sections for scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3. Where
estimates or signi昀椀cant methodology changes have
been applied, this is described separately in the relevant
sections.
