SCOPE 1
– GHG-EMISSIONS
Scope 1 emissions represent our direct carbon footprint
– emissions generated from the combustion of fuels in
owned facilities, such as natural gas for heating, as well
as from company cars and vans powered by petrol or
diesel.
These emissions are a key focus area in our climate strategy, as monitoring and reducing them is essential for both
operational ef昀椀ciency and achieving our long-term CO₂
reduction goals.

As part of this effort, STEFFCA utilises surplus heat from
its machinery, which is redirected to other halls and reused to heat production areas.
This initiative reduces the need for natural gas and
demonstrates our commitment to energy optimisation and
resource ef昀椀ciency in daily operations.
To further reduce our Scope 1 emissions, we are implementing a targeted strategy to minimise direct fuel
consumption.
This includes a gradual transition of our vehicle 昀氀eet to
low-emission alternatives such as plug-in hybrids and
fully electric vehicles, as well as the optimisation of route
planning to limit overall fuel use.
