The distance travelled per employee
has been multiplied by the number of
commuting days.

Emissions in Category 6 have been calculated based on STEFFCA’s travel data and
average emission factors for transport and
fuel.

Emissions in Category 7 have been calculated based on STEFFCA’s employee transport
data and average emission factors for
transport.
•
The annual distance (km) per employee
has then been multiplied by the emission
factors (EF) for the transport modes
used.

Emission factor units (EF): kg CO2e/km

Travel and Climate, European Environment Agency (EEA), ThrustCarbon

Total: Sum of all reported emissions.

Data basis: All travel distances by airplane,
rental car, taxi, and bus per destination
(km), as well as the number of travellers per

calculate passenger kilometres (pkm) for
air transport.

fuel consumption (L).
