Total emissions from purchased goods
and services: 1,287.787 tonnes CO₂e,
corresponding to 82.6% of total scope 3
emissions.

Total emissions from purchased capital
goods: 48.360 tonnes CO₂e, corresponding
to 3.1% of total scope 3 emissions.

In addition, extraordinary emissions of 2,179
tonnes CO₂e have been identi昀椀ed in relation
to the construction of STEFFCA’s new
headquarters, as well as 144.5 tonnes CO₂e
related to the acquisition of SealSupply,
including machinery and inventory.
Emissions in categories 1 and 2 have
been calculated using the spend-based
method. The data foundation consists of
transactions related to purchased goods,
services and capital goods, including
product name and description, supplier,
country of origin and amount spent.
The transactions have been classi昀椀ed by
type of good, service or capital good and
matched with relevant emission factors.

The emission factors used vary depending on the type of good or service. The
factors are based on EXIOBASE v.3 monetary and applied in kg CO₂e/DKK.

These items are presented separately and
are not included in the comparable category
1 and 2 昀椀gures for 2025, as they are considered extraordinary and not directly comparable with previous years’ regular purchases
and investments.

Total emissions from fuel- and energy-related activities: 23.220 tonnes CO₂e.
Emissions in category 3 have been
calculated based on STEFFCA’s
consumption data for fuel, electricity
and district heating, using relevant
average emission factors. The category
includes upstream emissions from
purchased fuel, upstream emissions
from purchased electricity and district
heating, as well as emissions related to
transmission and distribution losses.
Emissions from the combustion of fuel
are included in scope 1, while emissions
from the generation of purchased
electricity and district heating are
included in scope 2 and are therefore not
counted again in this category. STEFFCA
does not purchase electricity for resale,
and this subcategory is therefore not
relevant. The emission factors are based
on the UK Government GHG Conversion
Factors for Company Reporting and
IEA Electricity Factors and have been
applied in units matching the underlying
consumption data, such as kg CO₂e per
kg, litre or kWh. Category 3 has been
calculated based on the location-based
scope 2 inventory.
