Total emissions from upstream transport
and distribution: 125.590 tonnes CO₂e.
Emissions in category 4 have been calculated based on a third-party calculation
prepared by STEFFCA’s logistics providers. The calculation covers transport
activities related to upstream transport
and distribution and has been prepared
in accordance with ISO 14083:2023 and
the GLEC Framework v3.1. The inventory covers relevant modes of transport,
including road, sea, air and rail transport,
where these form part of the transport
chain. The calculation is based on modelled transport data and includes CO₂e
emissions from fuel combustion, including CO₂, CH₄ and N₂O converted using
IPCC GWP100 values. For air transport
departing from the EU, the calculation includes the relevant effect of the ReFuelEU
Aviation requirement for SAF blending.
Total emissions from waste generated in
operations: 0.669 tonnes CO₂e.
Emissions in category 5 have been calculated based on STEFFCA’s waste data
and waste-type- and treatment-speci昀椀c
emission factors. The data foundation
includes waste generated in STEFFCA’s
operations, measured in kg and divided
into waste fractions, including hazardous
waste, small combustible waste, paper,
iron and metal. The waste fractions have
been classi昀椀ed according to the relevant
treatment method, including recycling,
incineration with energy recovery and
treatment of hazardous waste. The
waste quantities have been multiplied
by emission factors from the UK Government GHG Conversion Factors for
Company Reporting, stated in kg CO₂e/
kg waste.
