PAST, PRESENT
– AND FUTURE
Over the past four years, STEFFCA’s greenhouse gas
emissions have shown a clear development, re昀氀ecting
both the company’s growth and an increased focus on
environmental responsibility.
In 2021, total emissions amounted to 515 tonnes of CO₂e,
with Scope 3 emissions representing the largest share.

However, we are continuously strengthening our efforts by
requesting more precise environmental data from suppliers and identifying key areas for further reduction.
GOING FORWARD, WE WILL FOCUS ON
In 2022, emissions rose to 1,625 tonnes, primarily due to a
more comprehensive mapping of upstream activities and
improved data coverage across the value chain.
•
Expand the use of renewable energy to further reduce
Scope 2 emissions.
Since then, we have made signi昀椀cant progress in stabilising our climate footprint.
•
Maintain stable Scope 1 and 2 emissions, even as the
company continues to grow.
•
Collaborate more closely with suppliers to track and
reduce Scope 3 emissions more effectively.
In 2023, total emissions fell to 1,190 tonnes, and although
a minor increase to 1,278 tonnes was recorded in 2024,
our emissions remain well below the 2022 level.
2023
Scope 3 emissions continue to pose the greatest challenge and 昀氀uctuate in line with procurement levels, travel
activity, and logistics operations.
During the same period, Scope 1 emissions have gradually increased from 52 to 78 tonnes, re昀氀ecting business
expansion and higher activity levels, while Scope 2 emissions have decreased from 30 to 23 tonnes as a result of
enhanced energy ef昀椀ciency and the transition to cleaner
energy sources.
By maintaining focus on these goals, we aim to lead by
example in responsible production and raise the bar for
ESG performance within our industry.
